This is a multi-sized pattern. Fully illustrated and easy to follow instructions for cutting and sewing the swimsuit are included. You do not need to be a sewing expert to make one of these swimsuits! A Serger is not necessary. All you need is a regular sewing machine with a zig-zag stitch!
These swimsuits have been designed for modesty, comfort and flexibility. The swimsuit covers well even during active swimming and doesn't hinder your movement while in or out of the water!
The leggings are not attached to the swimsuit to make it easy to take on and off, and more comfortable to swim in. These swimsuits have the look of a one-piece swimsuit, yet the flexibility of a two-piece!
The bodice is lined, so there is a double layer of spandex fabric covering the entire bodice.
Material Required for Ladies' Sizes:
2 1/3 yards (2.14 meters) of 60 inch wide, 4-way stretch swimwear fabric
(To make the leggings a solid color, you will need: 1 1/5 yards (43") for the bodice, sleeves and skirt; and 1 1/4 yards (45") for the leggings and bodice lining.)
We recommend good quality, 4-way stretch swimwear fabric (20% spandex, 80% nylon). These fabrics are chlorine resistant and light-weight when wet. (Fabrics which contain cotton, rayon or polyester are not a good choice for swimwear, because they become very heavy and clingy when wet, which makes it difficult to swim in!)

I wanted to thank you for making such a wonderful swimsuit pattern. I bought the pattern to make a suit for my 3 year old daughter. The size 4 suit came together so quickly, and just in time for a visit to the water park. It fit perfectly, allowing her to run/splash in the toddler's play area, didn't hinder her movement when she wanted to go down some of the larger slides, and stayed perfectly in place all day-never riding up or sliding down.
Most of all, she felt comfortable, covered, and "pretty" in her "swim dress." The only problem is that when my sisters saw the suit, I was tasked to make 3 more for their daughters this year…and made to promise to make suits for them ALL as they grow. I agreed delightedly! I am so happy to have found a modest suit that is honoring to God and our beliefs, and makes my loved ones feel as beautiful as they are.
I sincerely thank you.

Dear Crystal -
I first have to thank you so much for your God honoring styles and for providing a mom like me a place to buy tasteful suits for me and my two daughters!! I cannot tell you the number of compliments we have received on our suits and I look forward to making some new ones for this swim season.
Thanks again and have a blessed evening!! Deborah

First, I must say that I'm so grateful to God that I was able to find this pattern. With that said, I will say that it was *not* overwhelmingly easy to follow the directions. Because I'm new at sewing, I follow directions to a tee. I don't skip around because I don't know shortcuts that more experienced people may know. The way the pattern pieces are laid on the fabric in the photo is not the way the pieces are to be laid on the fabric. Because I didn't want to cut wrong, it took me a long time to figure out the way to lay the pieces on the fabric so that I wouldn't run out of fabric. Thank the Lord, I was able to figure it out. Also, I thought there would be a way included in the pattern for me to lengthen the sleeves. I used one of my shirts whose sleeves I thought would be perfect on my bathing suit. It worked, and I'm so glad I got as much fabric as I did. (1 1/2 yards for the bodice, sleeves, and skirt and 1 1/2 yards for the leggings) Other than those two issues, I enjoyed the process, and I was able to complete the project in about 5 hours. I hope this review helps someone. :)

I bought 2 patterns, 1 for me and 1 for my 8 year old daughter. Even though I am an experienced seamstress and taught sewing skills to children, this is the first time I have sewn on swimsuit fabric. I found the directions & pattern well laid out and easy to follow. I could have easily had a teen aged sewing student of mine complete this project. Great pattern, worth the price as I will be making more in the future. By the way, they turned out great and superbly well too.

I WAS AMAZED AT HOW EASY IT WAS TO MAKE.
They are very comfortable, and easy to swim in.
It was a joy to have my daughter ask me if I would sew her a modest bathing suit that she had seen many girls at a Christian camp wear.
It is truely a blessing that God has given you such talent, and that you have passed it on. This will be my second season for making swimsuits for my daughters and I. Thank you again.

We received our patterns, ordered material and made our swimsuits in time to go to the lake. Yea! You know, for the first time ever I felt good in a bathing suit. My husband didn't say anything about what someone would be seeing. We made the sleeves to the elbow and the "dresses" to the knee. I wouldn't wear this length other than for swimming, but how nice it was to be this covered up. Even my nieces who normally ask why we always wear mid length skirts and dresses, liked the swimsuits. They didn't like how theirs showed so much and told me I could make them one. I am going to pray about doing just that before summer is over. Thank you so much for making these patterns available to us.
